The terms and conditions of safe place delivery

By choosing this delivery option on the DPD.fr recipient area, you are invited to indicate a "safe place" at your home (for example a garage, a garden shed) where the parcel can be left by the delivery driver in your absence and in complete safety. The delivery is then confirmed by email to the recipient.

Securing the delivery

The delivery of the parcel is secured by the devices indicated below, which will also serve as proof of delivery:

• A photo of the parcel delivered in the safe place (necessarily taken by the delivery driver) *
• The geolocation of the completed delivery (systematic in our parcel tracking tool) *

The specificities

In the event of a delivery anomaly, the following specificities apply to Safe Place Delivery:

Claim for damage: in the event of damage, no reservation may be made at the time of delivery. The recipient shall send their claim to the sender:

• Directly by email or by any electronic means
• No later than the day after delivery before 12:00

Evidence to be provided by the recipient:

• Photos of the goods,
• Photos of the damage,
• Photos of the packaging,
• Photos of the shipping label
• Copy of the order invoice

Failing this, the goods are deemed to have been delivered in good condition.

Claim for parcel not found in the chosen safe place: (after receipt of the delivery confirmation email) : opening a dispute file will not be accepted if the photo of the parcel, taken by the delivery driver via their scanner, shows a delivered parcel and the delivery geolocation (recorded at the time of delivery of the parcel by the delivery driver) corresponds to the recipient's address.

The safe place delivery option will provide additional flexibility for you, our customers, who cannot always be available to receive their parcels!
