Expect a naturally varied finish. Shades vary from board to board, and the widths are mixed: this is what gives the wall its character. If you want uniform panelling with identical boards, new planed panelling will be a better choice.

Installation tips

Acclimatisation: store the open packs in the room for 1 to 2 days, at a temperature above 17 °C and humidity between 35 and 65%.

Wall preparation: the surface must be flat, clean, dry and free of dust. Use an elastic polymer-based mounting adhesive, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Installation: start at the bottom, leaving a 3 to 5 mm gap at the floor and ceiling. Mix boards from several packs to distribute the different widths and shades. If a board is slightly warped, adjust it before gluing.

Cuts and corners: cut with a hand saw, circular saw or jigsaw. Finish corners with a 45° cut or decorative moulding.

Care and protection

Dust the panelling with a dry cloth or soft brush. Avoid excessive water and abrasive products, which could mark the wood surface. Time has already stabilised the colour of the reclaimed wood: its variations are part of its appearance.
