Cabinetry Oak Panel — made to measure to the nearest mm

The WoodUp cabinetry oak panel is made from non-finger-jointed solid oak (cabinetry grade), FSC / PEFC certified. It is cut and machined to order according to your exact specifications: up to 250 cm in length and 120 cm in width, to the nearest millimetre. The cabinetry oak panel is distinguished from the custom oak panel (ID 480) by its non-finger-jointed solid oak construction — the boards run the full length of the panel. This construction guarantees perfect grain continuity and a superior quality finish particularly suited to cabinetry projects. The panel is delivered in the finish chosen in the configurator: sanded raw, oiled or varnished. A protective finish is recommended before use if you opt for the sanded raw option.

Usage and finishing advice

If you have opted for the sanded raw finish, apply a protective finish before use. For a surface subject to wear, a polyurethane floor varnish (2 to 3 coats) offers the best resistance. For a natural matt look, a hard oil penetrates the fibres and nourishes the wood — to be renewed every 1 to 2 years depending on use. Apply the finish to all faces before installation, including those that will be inaccessible once in place.

Before installation, store the panel flat in the room where it will be used for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to acclimatise to the ambient humidity.

Important information before ordering: non-finger-jointed solid oak is a quality construction — each board runs the full length of the panel. Maximum length 250 cm. Oak tannins react on contact with iron: use only stainless steel or brass-plated screws. Pre-drilling is mandatory. Apply a finish to all faces before installation.

Can this panel be ordered with rounded edges or a special shape?

Yes. Several machining options are available in the configurator: chamfer, round and quarter-round for edges, rounded corners, and special shapes — oval, circle or octagon. Can this panel be used outdoors?

No. This panel is intended for indoor use only. For outdoor or damp environment use, choose a panel with a suitable treatment or a naturally resistant species.

What finish should be applied to this panel?

The panel is delivered sanded, ready to finish. For a surface subject to wear: polyurethane floor varnish in 2 to 3 coats. For a natural look: hard oil to be renewed every 1 to 2 years. For a personalised tint: wood stain or wood paint. In all cases, finish all faces before installation.

What is the difference between the cabinetry oak panel and the custom oak panel (ID 480)?

The cabinetry oak panel is made from non-finger-jointed solid oak: the boards run the full length of the panel, providing continuous grain and a quality finish. The custom oak panel (ID 480) is a glued laminate that may contain finger-jointed boards along its length. For a cabinetry piece or a high-quality table top, the cabinetry grade is recommended.
