Custom larch glulam panel — made to measure to the nearest mm
The WoodUp custom larch glulam panel is made from glued laminated larch (non-finger-jointed boards), PEFC certified. It is cut and machined to order according to your exact specifications: 10 to 300 cm in length, 10 to 120 cm in width, to the nearest millimetre. Larch is a resinous species with a natural durability class 3, one of the few that can be used in sheltered outdoor settings without heavy chemical treatment. Its pinkish to reddish-brown hue evolves towards a silvery grey with UV exposure if left unprotected. The wood has good resistance to heat and chemicals. The panel is supplied in the finish chosen in the configurator: sanded raw, oiled or varnished. A protective finish is recommended before use if you opt for the sanded raw finish.
Configure directly on this page the dimensions, thickness, shape (straight, oval, circle, octagon), edge machining (chamfer, rounded, quarter-round) and rounded corners. For options on request (drilling, laser printing, CNC cutting), contact the WoodUp customer service team before finalising your order.

Usage and finishing advice
If you have opted for the sanded raw finish, apply a protective finish before use. For a surface subject to wear, a polyurethane varnish (2 to 3 coats) offers the best resistance. For a natural matt look, a hard oil penetrates the fibres and nourishes the wood — to be renewed every 1 to 2 years depending on use. Apply the finish to all faces before installation, including those that will be inaccessible once in place.
Before installation, store the panel flat in the room where it will be used for 48 to 72 hours so that it acclimatises to the ambient humidity.
WoodUp Tip
What to know before ordering: always apply a protective finish (oil, varnish or wood stain) to preserve the original colour and ensure the durability of the wood, particularly for sheltered outdoor use. Larch may produce slight resin bleeding at knots — light sanding before finishing helps to minimise this. Outdoor use for sheltered settings only; not for direct exposure to the elements without enhanced protection.
Frequently asked questions
Can this panel be ordered with rounded edges or a special shape?
Yes. Several machining options are available in the configurator: chamfer, rounded and quarter-round for edges, rounded corners, and special shapes oval, circle or octagon. For complex options (drilling, CNC cutting, laser printing), contact the WoodUp customer service team before finalising your order.
What finish should be applied to this panel?
The panel is supplied according to the chosen option: sanded raw, oiled or varnished. For a surface subject to wear, a polyurethane varnish in 2 to 3 coats offers the best resistance. For a natural look, a hard oil to be renewed every 1 to 2 years. Finish all faces before installation.
What is the delivery lead time?
The panel is made to order and dispatched within 10 working days. You can track progress from your WoodUp customer account.
Is the larch panel suitable for use in a bathroom or covered outdoor space?
Yes, larch (natural class 3) withstands occasional moisture well, making it suitable for well-ventilated bathrooms and sheltered outdoor spaces (covered terrace, canopy). A water-repellent finish further enhances this resistance over time.
Why does larch turn grey over time?
Like all wood exposed to UV without protection, larch naturally develops a grey patina on the surface — this is an aesthetic phenomenon with no impact on the mechanical strength of the wood. To preserve the original pinkish hue, apply a saturator or a UV-filter wood stain and renew it every 1 to 2 years outdoors.
How do I order drilling or laser printing options?
These options are carried out on request — they do not appear in the online configurator. Contact the WoodUp customer service team with your plans and specifications before placing your order.
