The WoodUp custom olive ash panel is made from ash with heartwood, finger-joint-free glued laminate (non-finger-jointed boards), FSC / PEFC certified. It is cut and machined to order according to your exact specifications: 10 to 300 cm in length, 10 to 120 cm in width, to the nearest millimetre. Olive ash (ash with heartwood) differs from white ash by the presence of heartwood in the boards. This heartwood creates areas with golden-brown to olive tones contrasting with the white-cream of the sapwood — each panel is unique in its distribution of shades. The A face harmoniously blends white, yellowish and olive tones with characteristic grain. The panel is delivered according to the finish chosen in the configurator: sanded raw, oiled or varnished. A protective finish is recommended before use if you opt for the sanded raw finish.

Usage and finishing advice
If you have opted for the sanded raw finish, apply a protective finish before use. For a surface subject to wear, a polyurethane varnish (2 to 3 coats) offers the best resistance. For a natural matt look, a hard oil penetrates the fibres and nourishes the wood — to be renewed every 1 to 2 years depending on use. Apply the finish to all faces before installation, including those that will be inaccessible once in place.
Before any installation, store the panel flat in the room where it will be used for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to acclimatise to the ambient humidity.
WoodUp tip
Important before ordering: the presence of heartwood is random depending on the boards — each panel is unique. If you order several panels for the same project, variations in appearance are normal and are part of the natural character of olive ash. Pre-drilling is mandatory. Finish all faces before installation.

Can this panel be ordered with rounded edges or a special shape?
Yes. Several machining options are available in the configurator: chamfer, rounded and quarter-round for edges, rounded corners, and special shapes oval, circle or octagon. For complex options (drilling, CNC cutting, laser engraving), contact WoodUp customer service before finalising your order.
Can this panel be used outdoors?
No. This panel is reserved for indoor use only. For outdoor use or in a damp environment, opt for a panel with a suitable treatment or a naturally resistant species.
What finish should be applied to this panel?
The panel is delivered sanded, ready to finish. For a surface subject to wear: polyurethane varnish in 2 to 3 coats. For a natural look: hard oil to be renewed every 1 to 2 years. For a custom colour: wood stain or wood paint. In all cases, finish all faces before installation.
What is the delivery time?
The panel is made to order and dispatched within 5 to 10 working days. You can track progress from your WoodUp customer account.
What is the difference between white ash and olive ash?
White ash (ID 549) is composed entirely of sapwood — uniform white tone. Olive ash contains heartwood which provides golden-brown to olive areas contrasting with the light sapwood. The result is more decorative and each panel is unique. The mechanical characteristics are identical.
Are all olive ash panels identical?
No — that is the uniqueness of this product. The presence and distribution of heartwood vary depending on the logs and boards. If you order several panels for the same project, specify this in the order so that WoodUp can select boards with harmonised tones.
How do I order drilling or laser engraving options?
These options are carried out on request — they do not appear in the online configurator. Contact WoodUp customer service with your plans and specifications before placing your order.
