This unfinished solid wood cupboard door is designed to turn a Woodbox crate into an enclosed storage unit. It comes in three sizes to match the three Woodbox crate sizes: small (36×36 cm), medium (54×36 cm) and large (72×36 cm). Available unfinished (ready to paint or wax) or in aged wood (patinated look). Fixing hardware is supplied.

Each door comes with the hardware needed to fit it directly to the Woodbox crate. This product is for indoor use only. Doors are sold individually – if you want two doors on a large unit, you will need two.

Installation advice

Select the size that matches your Woodbox crate exactly. Prepare the mounting surface: the front of the crate should be flat and clean. Attach the hinges to the door using the supplied template, then screw them to the crate. Check the clearance between the door and crate: if it is too tight, the door may stick if the wood expands slightly with humidity. For the unfinished option, apply a finish before installation to make future care easier.

Care and protection

For untreated, unfinished wood, regular wiping with a dry cloth is sufficient. To extend its life, apply wax or a matt varnish once or twice a year. If humidity makes the solid wood door difficult to open, lightly sanding its edges will restore the necessary clearance. Check that the hinges are tight once a year, especially on frequently used units.

It depends on your setup. One 72×36 cm door covers the entire front of the large model. If you prefer two doors, order two 36×36 cm doors (small size). Both options are possible.
