PARIS Beech Spiral Staircase
PARIS Spiral Staircase: handrail fixed to each step, creating a regular discontinuous line from bottom to top. Lacquered solid beech 35 mm. Single diameter 140 cm, powder-coated steel structure in grey, black or white. Adjustable step height 190–235 mm. Limited colour choice for a more accessible price.
The PARIS spiral staircase is distinguished by its handrail fixed to each step, rather than a continuous handrail. This construction creates a discontinuous but regular line, following the rhythm of the climb step by step. Available in a single diameter of 140 cm, this model is aimed at those looking for a reliable, attractive spiral staircase at a more accessible price than multi-option models.
The solid beech steps, 35 mm thick, are protected by a quality lacquered finish that allows the natural wood grain to show through. The structure — central column and balusters — is made of powder-coated steel available in three colours: grey, black or white. This deliberately limited selection of colours and diameter allows WoodUp to offer this model at a more competitive price than references offering more options. Thanks to the adjustable step height between 190 and 235 mm, the staircase adapts to your floor height over a configuration of 10, 11 or 12 steps. A PVC handrail completes the assembly at the top landing level.
The timber used for the steps is sourced from Europe. The metal components are produced and powder coated by Minka in Austria, ensuring a durable and consistent finish.

Handrail on steps, discontinuous
Unlike a continuous handrail that follows the slope from start to finish, the PARIS integrates a railing fixed individually to each step. The result is a discontinuous but regular line, which visually marks each step of the climb. A separate PVC handrail equips the top landing for the final handhold.

Installation advice
Essential measurements before ordering: Check that your ceiling opening measures at least 1500 x 1500 mm. Record your exact floor height, finished floor to finished floor. Measure the available width at the base of the staircase, minimum 2 m² for receiving and assembly.
Determining the configuration: For a height of up to 2820 mm, the staircase can be configured with 10, 11 or 12 steps according to your exact requirement. Beyond that, up to two extensions allow you to reach 3055 mm and then 3290 mm. Provide your exact height at the time of order for validation of the appropriate configuration.
Site preparation: Flat and stable floor support, solid ceiling anchor for the central column. Minimum 2 m² access at the base for receiving the modules.
Assembly: Staircase delivered pre-assembled in sections. Steps: positioning the column, stacking the steps with their individually fixed handrail, fixing at the two support points, fitting the landing handrail. Estimated duration: 4 to 5 hours with two people.
Maintenance and protection
Lacquered beech: Clean twice a month with a microfibre cloth dampened with warm soapy water, neutral pH. Avoid standing water and harsh solvents. Professional re-varnishing is possible after 10 to 15 years in the event of visible wear.
Powder-coated steel: Wipe monthly with a dry cloth. Check annually for any chips exposing bare steel.
Lifespan: With regular maintenance, the PARIS staircase retains its functional and aesthetic qualities for a minimum of 15 to 20 years in residential use.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the PARIS staircase offered at a more accessible price?
This model offers a single diameter of 140 cm and a choice of only three colours, compared to more options on other Minka models. This more limited selection simplifies manufacture and allows a more competitive price to be offered, without compromising on material quality.
What is the step-fixed handrail of the PARIS?
Rather than a continuous handrail following the slope from start to finish, each step of the PARIS carries its own section of railing. The result is a discontinuous but regular line, which visually marks each step of the climb. A separate PVC handrail additionally equips the top landing.
What maximum floor height can the PARIS span?
In standard configuration, up to 2820 mm. With one extension on order, up to 3055 mm. With two extensions, up to 3290 mm. Provide your exact height at the time of order to confirm the appropriate configuration.
Is the 140 cm diameter suitable for all spaces?
It requires a minimum ceiling opening of 1500 x 1500 mm. If your space is more restricted, this diameter is not suitable and another Minka model with a smaller diameter should be preferred.
How does the step height adjustment work?
The step height is adjustable between 190 and 235 mm, over a configuration of 10 to 12 steps depending on your exact floor height. Provide this height at the time of order so that the optimal configuration can be determined.
What colours are available for the PARIS?
Three finishes for the metal structure: grey, black or white, paired with lacquered solid beech steps.
