FONTMARTIN curved aluminium and polycarbonate door canopy with gutter

The FONTMARTIN is a curved door canopy made from aluminium profiles and clear 4.5 mm multiwall polycarbonate, available in white or black. Measuring 158 x 85 x 27 cm, it covers a standard front door, with 80 cm between fixing centres.

At 27 cm high, it sits discreetly above the door. The integrated gutter collects rainwater, while the transparent panel lets light through. The kit includes 2 brackets measuring 30 x 20 mm, screws and wall plugs; the panel is curved during assembly to fit the brackets.

Installation advice

Assemble the gutter and profiles onto the polycarbonate panel, then bend the panel slightly to fit the brackets. Measure out the 80 cm between fixing centres above the door before drilling.

Fix the brackets to a load-bearing wall (concrete, brick or concrete block) using wall plugs suitable for the surface. On an externally insulated wall, use longer screws to pass through the insulation and reach the load-bearing wall. Two people are recommended for installation.

Maintenance and protection

Anodised or powder-coated aluminium requires no special treatment after installation. Cleaning 1 to 2 times a year with clean water and mild soap is sufficient to maintain the appearance of the structure. Avoid abrasive or solvent-based products, which could scratch the lacquer or anodised coating.

Clean the multiwall polycarbonate with a soft, damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid directing a pressure washer at the panel, as this could strain the seals. The panel is UV-resistant but may yellow slightly over time in direct sunlight. This is normal and does not affect its mechanical properties. In winter, clear away snow to prevent overloading.
