BROUILLY curved door canopy in solid wood and polycarbonate – 150 x 80 cm

The BROUILLY canopy combines a solid wood structure with a 4 mm transparent multiwall polycarbonate panel. It measures 150 x 80 x 57 cm, with a 97 cm clear width between the brackets. It is supplied pre-assembled, ready to fix to the wall.

Its curved brackets and purlins give it a rounded profile that suits stone, rendered or half-timbered façades. The wood is supplied untreated and must be painted, stained or treated with saturating wood oil before installation. This model has no integrated gutter.

Installation advice

Apply 2 to 3 coats of wood stain, paint or saturating wood oil to every surface of the wood, including the edges, before installation. Check that the wall is sound and stable, position the canopy, mark the fixing points, then drill as directed in the instructions.

Fix the brackets using wall plugs suitable for the surface (concrete, brick, concrete block or wood). Two people are recommended to hold the canopy while it is screwed into place. Check that it is level before fully tightening the fixings.

Maintenance and protection

Natural solid wood must be treated before any outdoor exposure. Without treatment, it gradually turns grey and deteriorates when exposed to the elements. Renew the protection every 2 to 3 years depending on exposure; a south-facing façade or a very rainy region calls for more frequent maintenance.

Clean the polycarbonate with water and mild soap using a non-abrasive cloth. Inspect the wall fixings once a year and tighten them if necessary.
