FAUBEL Side Panel – Accessory for retro range canopy
The FAUBEL side panel is a lateral protection accessory designed to complement canopies from the Woodup retro range (BOUBON, ONCINS and ECHARMEAUX). Made from spray-painted aluminium and 4.5 mm cellular polycarbonate, it is fitted to the side of the canopy to create a sheltered entrance area protected from lateral wind-driven rain.
Dimensions: height 180 cm, top width 53 cm, bottom width 30 cm. Assembly hardware included. To be ordered separately depending on the canopy model in place.

Installation advice
The FAUBEL side panel assembles directly onto the retro canopy once it is already installed. Plan to fit it at the same time as the canopy if possible for a consistent result and to avoid a second wall drilling. The assembly hardware included allows the FAUBEL to be fixed to the side of the canopy.
Check compatibility with your retro canopy model before ordering (BOUBON, ONCINS or ECHARMEAUX). The trapezoidal width (53 cm at the top, 30 cm at the bottom) matches the profile of these canopies.
Maintenance and protection
Anodised or lacquered aluminium requires no special treatment after fitting. Cleaning once or twice a year with clean water and mild soap is sufficient to maintain the appearance of the structure. Avoid abrasive products or solvent-based products that could scratch the lacquer or anodised coating.
Cellular polycarbonate can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid using a pressure washer directly on the panel to prevent forcing the seals. For limescale deposits, use diluted white vinegar. The panel is UV-resistant but may slightly yellow after 10 to 15 years of direct exposure — this is normal and does not affect its mechanical properties.

Is the FAUBEL side panel compatible with canopies outside the Woodup retro range?
No, the FAUBEL is designed specifically for canopies from the Woodup retro range (BOUBON, ONCINS and ECHARMEAUX). Its dimensions and trapezoidal profile are tailored to these models. It is not compatible with canopies from Woodup's contemporary or timber ranges, nor with canopies from other brands.
What is the difference between installing a FAUBEL side panel and not fitting one?
Without the FAUBEL, the canopy only provides protection from vertical rain and slightly angled rain from the front. With the FAUBEL, the entrance is also protected on the lateral side where it is fitted — particularly useful if your entrance is exposed to wind-driven rain from a specific side. For maximum protection on both sides, two FAUBEL panels are required (one on each side).
Should I order one or two FAUBEL side panels?
The FAUBEL is sold individually. If you wish to protect both sides of your entrance, order two FAUBEL panels. If only one side is exposed to wind-driven rain, a single FAUBEL is sufficient. Observe the direction of the prevailing rain in your area to determine which side to prioritise.
Can the FAUBEL side panel be painted to match the colour of the canopy?
The FAUBEL is delivered in spray-painted aluminium. If the colour does not exactly match your canopy, a touch-up with an exterior aluminium paint is possible after degreasing. Choose the same RAL shade as your canopy for a uniform result.
Is the hardware supplied with the FAUBEL sufficient for a secure fixing?
The included hardware is intended for assembling the FAUBEL onto the canopy. For wall fixing of the lower edge of the FAUBEL (if required depending on the configuration), additional wall plugs suited to the wall material may be needed — these are not included. Check the assembly instructions for the required fixing points.
