Choosing the right door canopy
To choose the width, start with the width of the door: allow around 30 cm extra so the canopy covers the frame. A 120 cm canopy suits a 90 cm door, while a 160 cm canopy suits an entrance up to 130 cm wide. Then check the clearance above the door: the CASARDO canopy is 68 cm high, including the brackets.

Installation advice
Mounting surface: the canopy must be fixed to a sound load-bearing wall of concrete, brick or concrete blocks. For an externally insulated façade, use fixings suitable for the insulation; these are not supplied.
Marking out: mark the height above the door, centre the canopy over the door frame and mark level fixing points. At 68 cm high, check that there is enough space beneath a balcony or roof overhang.
Installation: secure the brackets, check they are level, then fit the panel. Allow for two people to install it.
Care and protection
The anthracite grey powder-coated frame needs no treatment. Clean the canopy once or twice a year with clean water and mild soap. Use a soft sponge or microfibre cloth on the acrylic panel: abrasive or solvent-based products could scratch or dull it.

Both panel materials let light through and resist UV. Polycarbonate is more flexible and withstands impacts, such as hail or a falling branch, better. Acrylic is more rigid and retains glass-like transparency. The satin acrylic on the AIZAC model diffuses light and provides some privacy.
How do I care for an anthracite grey metal canopy?
Once or twice a year, rinse the canopy with clean water and wash it with mild soap and a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid using a pressure washer too close to the panel or solvent-based products.
