Atlanta Aluminium Polycarbonate Canopy
Atlanta canopy in aluminium and transparent 4.5 mm cellular polycarbonate. Dimensions 120 x 82 x 26 cm, white colour only, weight 6 kg, fixing elements and screws included. Low height of 26 cm particularly suited to confined spaces under a lintel — lightweight aluminium frame, transparent panel allowing natural light through. Load-bearing wall support mandatory; check wall resistance and permissible load before installation.
Atlanta door canopy in aluminium and cellular polycarbonate
The Atlanta canopy is constructed from aluminium and transparent 4.5 mm cellular polycarbonate. Its dimensions of 120 x 82 x 26 cm and weight of 6 kg make it a compact and lightweight model, ideal for confined spaces under a lintel. White colour only, fixing elements and screws included.
The transparent polycarbonate panel allows natural light through whilst providing effective protection against rain. Its low height of 26 cm integrates discreetly above the door.

Installation tips
Measure the available space above your door before ordering — the height of 26 cm requires sufficient clearance between the top of the door and the roof overhang or balcony floor. Check that the fixing wall is load-bearing and in good condition.
The weight of 6 kg is light, but the fixings must remain robust to withstand wind loads. Use wall plugs suited to the wall material. Two people are recommended for installation. Check the level after fixing.
Maintenance and protection
Anodised or powder-coated aluminium requires no special treatment after installation. Cleaning 1 to 2 times a year with clean water and mild soap is sufficient to maintain the appearance of the structure. Avoid abrasive or solvent-based products that could scratch the lacquer or anodised coating.
Cellular polycarbonate can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid using a pressure washer directly on the panel so as not to force the seals. For limescale deposits, use diluted white vinegar. The panel is UV-resistant but may slightly yellow after 10 to 15 years of direct exposure — this is normal and does not affect its mechanical properties.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Atlanta canopy and the DURBIZE or FONTMARTIN canopy?
The Atlanta (120 x 82 x 26 cm) is more compact and lighter (6 kg) than the DURBIZE (158 x 90 x 38 cm) and the FONTMARTIN (158 x 85 x 27 cm). Its height of 26 cm is similar to the FONTMARTIN, but its width (120 cm) and depth (82 cm) are smaller. The Atlanta is suitable for standard-sized entrances with limited space under the lintel; the 158 cm models offer wider lateral coverage.
Is the Atlanta canopy available in colours other than white?
No, the Atlanta canopy is available only in white. If you are looking for a black or brown colour, please see the DURBIZE, FONTMARTIN (white or black) or FAVARDY (white, black, brown) models in the Woodup contemporary range.
Is the 82 cm depth sufficient to protect an entrance door from rain?
Yes, 82 cm of depth effectively protects against vertical rain and slightly angled rain. For optimal protection against heavy rain coming from the side, a depth of 90 cm or more is preferable. If your door is very exposed to wind-driven rain, opt for the DURBIZE or the FONTMARTIN (90 cm depth).
Is a load-bearing wall required to fix the Atlanta canopy?
Yes, even for a lightweight model of 6 kg such as the Atlanta, the fixing wall must be load-bearing and in good condition (concrete, solid brick, breeze block). The fixings must withstand not only the static weight but also the dynamic wind loads. Do not fix to insulation or lightweight cladding without prior structural verification.
Can the 4.5 mm polycarbonate panel withstand snow?
The 4.5 mm cellular polycarbonate can withstand moderate snow loads. In the event of heavy snowfall, carefully slide the snow off to avoid excessive accumulation. For regions with regular heavy snowfall, a thicker panel (6 mm, as on the ESCRINET canopy) is more suitable.
