Installation tips

Assemble the plant stand on a flat surface, following the instructions provided. Place it on a stable, level surface to prevent it from tipping over. Distribute pots evenly across the 4 tiers, placing the heaviest on the lower tiers to lower the centre of gravity. Apply an outdoor wood stain or oil to all surfaces before placing your first plants outside. On balconies exposed to wind, secure the plant stand to the wall with brackets (not supplied).

Care and protection

Untreated pine gradually turns grey outdoors without protection. Apply an outdoor wood stain or oil before installation and reapply every 2 years. Wipe the tiers with a damp cloth after each repotting. Check the tightness of the screws on the middle tiers annually.

What size pots fit on each tier?

The 21 cm depth accommodates pots under 20 cm in diameter. Slightly wider pots can be used if they are round and stable, but they will project slightly beyond the tier.

Can this plant stand be fixed to a wall for extra stability?

Yes. Wall brackets (not supplied) can be screwed into the side uprights to anchor the plant stand to the wall — strongly recommended for balconies exposed to wind.

Can untreated pine last for several years outdoors?

Yes, with an initial treatment and regular maintenance. Without protection, pine deteriorates within 2 to 3 years in damp conditions. Applying a quality wood stain as soon as you receive it significantly extends its lifespan.
