Installation advice

For a standard gate spanning 3 m wide: allow approximately 33 slats at 91x21 mm section edge to edge. Plan for 3 rails per leaf (bottom, middle, top) and a diagonal brace for rigidity. Always pre-drill at 120 cm height to avoid splitting at the end of the slat. Use stainless steel screws 4x50 mm minimum.

Spacing between slats: a solid gate acts like a sail in the wind, placing significant stress on the hinges and posts. A spacing of 15 to 20 mm between slats significantly reduces mechanical forces — recommended for large widths and windy areas. A spacing of 10 mm gives a near-solid appearance.
