The RONDO COLOR spiral staircase is an all-metal model designed for interiors with a distinctly industrial style. Its anthracite stamped-steel treads feature raised dots that reduce the risk of slipping without an applied surface texture. All its metal components—the treads, central column, balusters and handrail—come in a single anthracite colour. This model is not available in other colours.
The powder-coated aluminium handrail, with a diameter of 50 mm, is wider than on other models in the Minka range. Its rounded profile provides a firm, comfortable grip throughout the staircase. The central column also has a reinforced diameter of 127 mm, compared with 108 mm on standard models. This wider column adds to the structural rigidity of the staircase.
Available in three diameters, 120, 140 or 160 cm, the RONDO COLOR suits spaces of various sizes. The riser height is adjustable between 207 and 231 mm across 13 positions (12 treads plus a landing), allowing the staircase to fit most standard floor-to-floor heights. For heights exceeding 3003 mm, one or two extensions are available to order.

Installation advice
Measure your ceiling opening and exact floor-to-floor height (from finished floor to finished floor, in mm) before ordering. The minimum opening required is 1300 x 1300 mm for the Ø120, 1500 x 1500 mm for the Ø140 and 1700 x 1700 mm for the Ø160. If your floor-to-floor height exceeds 3003 mm, mention this when ordering so that one or two extensions can be included. Also specify whether you want a left- or right-turning staircase: this choice cannot be changed once the staircase has been made.
The floor must be level, stable and capable of bearing the concentrated loads from the central column. Anchoring the staircase to the ceiling is essential. Allow at least 2 m² of clear floor space at the base to receive and assemble the sections. Position the column vertically to within 2 mm, stack the treads, secure the staircase at both support points, then fit the aluminium handrail. Estimated installation time: 4 to 6 hours for two people, depending on the diameter.
Care and protection
Wipe the treads and structure once a month with a dry cloth. In a humid environment, a slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products, which can damage the powder coating. Clean the raised dots on the treads with a soft brush and pH-neutral soapy water. The aluminium handrail needs no special treatment; check its fixings annually to make sure they remain secure. With regular care, this staircase retains its structural properties and anthracite appearance for at least 15 to 20 years in indoor residential use.

No. This model is available with an anthracite finish only. The treads, central column, balusters and aluminium handrail are all finished in this single shade. For a black, grey or white metal spiral staircase, other models in the Minka range offer several finish options.
What are the raised dots on the treads for?
The raised dots are stamped directly into the steel during manufacture. They create a slightly rough surface that reduces the risk of slipping without an added coating. Unlike an applied surface treatment, this stamped texture does not wear away over time.
Which diameter should I choose for my space?
The size of your ceiling opening is the first consideration. The Ø120 cm model requires an opening of at least 1300 x 1300 mm. The Ø140 cm model requires 1500 x 1500 mm and provides a clear passage width of 586 mm. The Ø160 cm model requires 1700 x 1700 mm, reduces the rotation to 21.9° per tread and makes climbing noticeably more comfortable.
Can the standard height of 3003 mm be exceeded?
Yes, to order. One extension increases the maximum floor-to-floor height to 3234 mm. Two extensions allow a height of 3465 mm. This option is available for all three diameters and must be specified when ordering.
Does the aluminium handrail run continuously along the staircase?
Yes. The Ø50 mm powder-coated aluminium handrail runs continuously from the first to the last support point. Its larger diameter than the PVC handrails on other models (50 mm versus 40 mm) improves grip, particularly when you need firm support while climbing.
Is the RONDO COLOR suitable for outdoor use?
No. This model is designed for indoor use only. Prolonged exposure to the weather could damage the powder-coated finishes and steel structure. For outdoor use, contact customer service to check which alternatives are available.
