Solid fir riser base – adjustable and trimmable

The solid fir riser base, delivered as a kit, is designed to adapt the starting height of an interior staircase. Made from solid wood machined in the workshop, it compensates for level differences between the floor and the first tread while maintaining aesthetic continuity. Trimmable on site, it is easily adjusted to the configuration of each installation.

Installation advice

  1. Prepare a flat, dry surface before installation.
  2. Measure the height to compensate (up to 20 cm standard).
  3. Cut the base to the required dimension using a suitable saw.
  4. Position the base under the first tread and check the level.
  5. Fix mechanically using the screw kit provided.

Maintenance and protection

Solid fir must be protected against moisture variations. Apply a natural oil or acrylic varnish after installation. Avoid prolonged contact with water and maintain an ambient moisture level below 20%. A light sanding and a new coat of protection can be applied every 3 to 5 years.
