Maintenance and protection
The wood is delivered raw and untreated. Apply a protective finish before use : satin varnish 2 coats (maximum resistance), oil-wax (natural look, renewal every 1–2 years) or paint. The handrail, subject to frequent contact, benefits from an abrasion-resistant varnish.
Annual maintenance with a product suited to the chosen finish. Avoid abrasive or solvent-based products.
