Is this balustrade suitable for a large dog?
Yes. The solid timber lower panel prevents a large dog from putting its head through or leaning on the rails. For maximum safety with very active pets, check that the panel is taller than the animal at the shoulder. A 40 to 50 cm panel is suitable for most large breeds.
Are the aluminium rails treated to resist corrosion?
Yes. The aluminium rails are anodised — a surface treatment that provides lasting resistance to corrosion and light scratches. Indoors, they need no special maintenance beyond an annual clean with soapy water.
