The BOUBON canopy is a door canopy from the Woodup retro range, made from aluminium and 4.5 mm multiwall polycarbonate. Its dimensions of 160 x 90 x 26 cm and weight of 10 kg make it suitable for standard-sized entrances. Available in white or black; screws included.

Installation tips

Check that the fixing wall is load-bearing and in good condition before drilling. The weight of 10 kg requires solid fixings in a load-bearing wall (concrete, solid brick or concrete block). Use wall plugs suited to the wall material and the load to be supported.

Two people are recommended for installing the canopy. If you wish to add the FAUBEL side panel for lateral protection, plan its installation at the same time for a consistent result and to avoid a second round of drilling.

Maintenance and protection

Anodised or lacquered aluminium requires no special treatment after installation. Cleaning 1 to 2 times a year with clear water and mild soap is sufficient to maintain the appearance of the structure. Avoid abrasive or solvent-based products that could scratch the lacquer or anodised coating.

Clean the multiwall polycarbonate with a soft damp cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid directing a pressure washer at the sheet so as not to put strain on the seals. For limescale deposits, use diluted white vinegar. The sheet is UV-resistant but may yellow slightly over time in direct sunlight – this is normal and does not affect its mechanical properties.
