The ROCLES 160x160 staircase is a double quarter-turn staircase in glulam beech or glulam oak, without handrail, designed for a square stairwell of 160x160 cm. Designed for a floor-to-floor height of 285 cm with 14 treads + 1 landing nosing (15 rises), it offers a width of 80 cm, a riser height of 19 cm and a going of 21 cm. The tread section is 220x30 mm.

The total footprint is 165x160.4x165 cm (W x D x H). This DQT is sold without handrail - the handrail must be ordered separately and fitted during assembly. Available with or without risers, in right or left direction.

Installation advice

Verify that the stairwell is square at 160x160 cm minimum on finished dimensions. The total footprint of 165x160.4 cm is slightly larger than the stairwell - allow for fitting clearances. Determine the direction (right or left) before ordering - this is final. The handrail must be ordered separately and fitted during staircase assembly. Pre-drill on beech and oak. Two people minimum for assembly.

Maintenance and protection

Apply a varnish/floor finish 2-3 coats before first use. The quarter-turn treads (winders) undergo asymmetric wear - a solid finish is particularly important at these points. Renewal every 5-7 years. Cleaning: damp cloth, neutral pH.

The ROCLES 160x160 is the most compact DQT in beech/oak in the WoodUp range, with a stairwell of only 160x160 cm. It is the preferred solution when a 180x180 cm stairwell is not possible and you want a DQT in a noble wood species. The total footprint of 165x160.4 cm is slightly larger than the stairwell - allow for this clearance when creating the opening.
