Installation tips
Place the sawhorse on a flat, stable surface. A slightly rough surface (gravel, brushed concrete) reduces slipping during cutting. Rest the logs in the V of the uprights and secure them with the chain before starting to cut. Keep your supporting hand at a safe distance from the blade. When using a chainsaw, always wear the mandatory personal protective equipment.
Maintenance and protection
Store the sawhorse under cover when not in use to extend the life of the wood. Check the condition of the safety chain annually — replace it if the links show deformation or excessive wear. Tighten the joints if any play develops after several seasons.
Frequently asked questions
Can the safety chain hold large-diameter logs?
The chain is sized for standard logs (up to 30–40 cm in diameter). For particularly wide logs, check the tension before beginning to cut.
Is this sawhorse suitable for use with a chainsaw?
Yes. The 70 cm cutting height is suitable. Always wear safety glasses, gloves, cut-resistant chaps and a helmet when using a chainsaw.
What is the maximum compatible log length?
Logs up to 60 cm in length are held comfortably. Longer logs will overhang on either side — ensure their balance before you begin.
What is the difference from the metal sawhorse?
The hardwood sawhorse has a fixed safety chain and is delivered assembled. The metal sawhorse features an adjustable locking bar and a very compact folding design. Wood is heavier but absorbs cutting vibrations better.
Can this sawhorse be used for indoor cutting, in a garage?
Yes. Its 60 cm width allows it to pass through most garage doors. Make sure you have enough space to operate the saw or chainsaw safely.
