Installation tips
Open the sawhorse on a flat surface. Check that all 4 feet are in contact with the ground before loading logs. Adjust the locking bar according to the diameter of the logs: tighten it until the logs can no longer roll during sawing. For safe sawing, wear goggles and gloves, and hold the saw with both hands. On soft ground, open the sawhorse on planks to prevent the feet from sinking in.
Maintenance and protection
Clean the sawhorse with a damp cloth after use to remove shavings and moisture. Store under shelter to prevent corrosion on unpainted parts. Lubricate the locking bar joints with a light oil if they become difficult to operate. Check the condition of the feet and welds annually.
Frequently asked questions
Can the locking bar be adjusted quickly during use?
Yes. The bar moves and locks in a matter of seconds, allowing you to quickly adjust between two batches of logs of different diameters without lengthy interruptions to your work.
Is this metal sawhorse more stable than the hardwood model?
Both offer good stability. The metal model stands out for its adjustable locking bar and its very compact flat storage (5 cm). The wood model has a fixed safety chain. The choice depends on your use: adjustability (metal) vs light weight and natural appearance (wood).
Is this sawhorse suitable for a chainsaw?
Yes. The 90 cm height is suitable for a chainsaw. Safety instructions must be strictly observed: cut-resistant chaps, helmet, goggles and gloves are mandatory. The locking bar holds the logs in place during cutting.
What log length can be worked with this sawhorse?
Logs up to 60 cm in length are comfortably held in the 3 arms. Longer logs will overhang on both sides — make sure they remain balanced before you start sawing.
Is this sawhorse treated against rust?
The metal is generally treated or painted at the factory. For prolonged outdoor exposure, apply an anti-rust lacquer to friction areas and to the feet in contact with damp ground.
