Open the sawhorse on a flat surface. Check that all 4 feet are in contact with the ground before loading logs. Adjust the locking bar according to the diameter of the logs: tighten it until the logs can no longer roll during sawing. For safe sawing, wear goggles and gloves, and hold the saw with both hands. On soft ground, open the sawhorse on planks to prevent the feet from sinking in.
Clean the sawhorse with a damp cloth after use to remove shavings and moisture. Store under shelter to prevent corrosion on unpainted parts. Lubricate the locking bar joints with a light oil if they become difficult to operate. Check the condition of the feet and welds annually.

The metal is generally treated or painted at the factory. For prolonged outdoor exposure, apply an anti-rust lacquer to friction areas and to the feet in contact with damp ground.
