Installation tips

Position the handle on the door and mark the screw-hole positions with a pencil before drilling. Use a drill bit suited to the material (a wood bit for solid pine, an MDF bit for panels) and drill at low speed to prevent chipping. On lacquered MDF doors, a carefully drilled pilot hole protects the finish around the fixing point. Tighten the screws gradually without forcing them to avoid deforming the surface.

Care and protection

Wipe the chrome handle with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products and acidic cleaners, which dull the chrome. A dry microfibre cloth is enough to restore its shine. Slight limescale marks may develop on the chrome in hard-water areas – wiping it weekly helps prevent them.

Frequently asked questions

Is this handle compatible with Woodup trimmable cupboard doors?

Yes. It is compatible with all doors in the Woodup range: trimmable solid pine Natural pine trimmable door, white lacquered MDF White lacquered trimmable door, and louvred or lattice doors. Check the spacing between the fixing holes before installation.

What is the difference between the chrome Chrome handle and the matt black Black handle?

The Chrome handle has a shiny chrome finish, suited to light contemporary interiors or spaces combining steel and wood. The Black handle is made of matt black metal and is better suited to industrial or dark interiors. Both are screw-fixed, with screws included.

How many handles are needed for a double-door cupboard?

Allow one handle per door, or 2 handles for a double-door cupboard (61 or 71 cm widths). As handles are sold individually, order one for each door you need to fit.

Can the chrome withstand bathroom humidity?

This product is designed for standard indoor use. In a well-ventilated bathroom, the chrome holds up well to moisture. In a bathroom without extraction, persistent humidity may affect the finish over time.

Are the supplied screws suitable for solid pine and MDF?

Yes. The included screws are suitable for solid pine and MDF doors. For thin doors (under 18 mm), check the screw length to ensure they do not go through the door.
