Solid Pine Folding Part-Louvred Wardrobe Door 21 mm – Partial Ventilation

The folding part-louvred wardrobe door in solid pine with a 21 x 32 mm section is 205 cm high and available in widths of 61 cm (2 x 30.5 cm) or 71 cm (2 x 35.5 cm). Its solid lower section provides visual privacy, while the louvred upper section allows natural ventilation.

Supplied with pre-fitted hinges, an upper track, pivots, knobs and a full set of fixings for the top of the door. As solid pine is a natural material, colour and grain vary slightly between door leaves, including between the solid and louvred sections. This variation is normal and is not a defect. This model cannot be trimmed – an opening 209.5 cm high is required for the door and its track, with an opening width equal to the door width plus 4 mm in total. Installation advice

Allow an opening height of 209.5 cm (205 cm door plus space for the track) and a width equal to the door width plus 4 mm in total. Fix the track first, then position the top and bottom pivots using the supplied template. Clip the door leaves onto the pivots and check their alignment: they should be parallel and meet in the centre without resistance. Care and protection

Dust the louvres two to three times a year with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For routine care of the unfinished solid pine section, a dry cloth is sufficient. If the door has been painted or varnished, clean it with mild, pH-neutral soapy water. Avoid abrasive products that could scratch the finish. As solid pine is a living material, the solid section and louvres may differ slightly in colour: opaque paint gives a completely uniform appearance, while wood stain or clear varnish allows this natural variation to show. If the pivots squeak, a little wax lubrication will restore smooth movement.

What is the difference between a louvred door and a part-louvred door?

Can these doors be installed in a utility room?

Yes, provided the room is properly ventilated. These doors are not suitable for spaces exposed to constant moisture without air extraction.

Why is the solid section sometimes a different colour from the louvres?

Solid pine is a natural material whose colour and grain vary according to how each board is cut and grown. On a part-louvred door leaf, the solid section and open louvres may therefore differ slightly in shade; this is not a manufacturing defect. Opaque paint gives a completely uniform appearance.

Can the door be trimmed to fit a lower opening?
