The folding wardrobe door with solid raw pine panel 21 mm ensures total visual concealment of the wardrobe. Available in 61 cm or 71 cm (2 leaves), height 205 cm – the solid panel lets through neither light nor sight.
Supplied with pre-fitted hinges, top rail, top and bottom pivots and knobs. Raw pine finish, customisable: paint, varnish, stain. As solid pine is a natural material, the shade and grain vary slightly from one leaf to another: this variation is part of the character of solid wood and does not constitute a defect. Model not trimmable – an opening of 209.5 cm in height is mandatory.

Installation advice
Allow an opening height of 209.5 cm (205 cm door + rail space). Leave 4 mm clearance in width for leaf adjustment. Fix the top rail first, then the top and bottom pivots. Then install the pre-fitted leaves by hooking them onto the pivots. Check the alignment and smoothness of the folding. On raw pine, apply a finish before fitting if you wish to paint: it is easier to treat the leaves flat before hanging them. A fitting video is available on the Woodup YouTube channel.
Maintenance and protection
To preserve the raw pine, apply a matt or satin varnish, or a wood stain, depending on the desired effect. Without treatment, the wood remains functional but may yellow slightly in light. For routine maintenance on painted or varnished wood, a slightly damp cloth (clean water) is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products. As solid pine is a living wood, its shade naturally varies from one leaf to another: an opaque paint finish completely unifies the appearance, whereas a stain or transparent varnish allows this natural variation to show through. The pivots can be lightly lubricated with wax once a year to maintain smooth opening.

Why choose a solid panel door over a louvred door?
The solid panel door offers total visual concealment, ideal for storage that you wish to hide completely. The louvred door is preferable for spaces requiring natural ventilation, such as dressing rooms or utility rooms.
Can these doors be painted white?
Yes. Raw pine takes paint well after light sanding with 120-grit paper and a wood primer. For a uniform result, two coats of paint are recommended, with full drying time between each coat.
Is this door suitable for a child's bedroom?
Yes, its solid panel is suitable for use in a child's bedroom. The raw finish allows it to be painted in the desired colour. Ensure that the pivots and closing mechanism are correctly adjusted to avoid any risk of finger trapping.
Does the 61 cm width correspond to a 61 cm opening?
No. The door width corresponds to the overall footprint of the leaves. Allow the door width + 4 mm for the actual opening. For a 61 cm door, the opening must therefore measure approximately 61.4 cm minimum.
Why does the wood shade differ from one leaf to another?
Solid pine is a natural material whose shade and grain vary according to the cut and growth of each board. These shade differences between leaves are inherent to solid wood and do not constitute a manufacturing defect. An opaque paint finish achieves a perfectly uniform appearance.
