This 75 mm double-action spring hinge is designed for double-swing doors, in particular saloon-style western doors. Its spring mechanism ensures automatic return of the leaf to the closed position after each pass, without manual intervention. It is made of metal and sold individually. For a complete installation on a standard double-leaf western door, 4 hinges are recommended (2 per leaf).

The hinge is compatible with Woodup western doors (natural, white lacquered and rustic models). It can also be fitted to any interior double-swing door requiring automatic closure.

Installation advice

Position the hinges 15 cm from the top edge and 15 cm from the bottom edge of the leaf for balanced stress distribution. On a leaf of 105 to 115 cm, two hinges per leaf provide adequate support. Pre-drill the screw holes to avoid splitting the wood, particularly on solid pine. Check that the spring is correctly tensioned before final installation: an insufficiently tensioned spring will not guarantee automatic return. Tension adjustment is carried out according to the instructions supplied with the product.

Maintenance and protection

Lubricate the spring mechanism with a little light oil once a year to maintain smooth opening. In the event of squeaking, cleaning the mechanism followed by lubrication is generally sufficient to restore normal operation. Avoid corrosive products. The hinge is designed for interior use only.
