This metal swing pivot kit is designed for saloon-style western doors. It allows opening in both directions with automatic return to the closed position. The kit includes all elements required for installation: top and bottom pivots, fixing screws. It is compatible with western doors from the Woodup range (White lacquered western door or Natural pine western door or Rustic western door) and with other doors of comparable dimensions.

The pivots are fixed at the top and bottom of each leaf on a vertical axis. Their mechanism ensures smooth movement in both directions, suited to high-traffic spaces such as kitchens, hallways or commercial spaces. The metal used is treated for durability with daily indoor use.

Installation advice

Position the bottom pivot on the floor, centred beneath the leaf, pre-drilling the floor according to the template holes. Then fix the top pivot to the lintel or upper cross member of the frame, in perfect vertical alignment with the bottom pivot. Fit the leaf onto both pivots and check for free movement in both directions. A vertical misalignment creates resistance when opening: check with a spirit level. Refer to the assembly document provided in the kit for precise drilling dimensions.

Maintenance and protection

Lubricate the pivots with a few drops of light oil once or twice a year to maintain smooth movement. In the event of squeaking, cleaning followed by lubrication is generally sufficient. Check the tightness of the fixing screws annually, particularly on wooden floors which may move slightly with the seasons.
