Natural Pine Western-Style Louvered Door, 2 Leaves
This western-style door in natural solid pine separates two rooms without closing them off: its louvred slats let air and light through while screening the view. It comes as 2 leaves, each 21 mm thick, with a curved saloon-door profile.
The two leaves come in a total width of 68 cm or 78 cm, with a height of 99 cm at the sides and 104 cm at the centre. The pine comes unfinished, ready to paint, varnish or stain.
Order the pivots or hinges separately, or as part of a complete kit with the door.

Choosing the right western-style door
Three questions will guide your choice: do you want to let air and light through, how wide is the opening, and what finish would you like? The WoodUp range has four models:
| Model | Panel | Thickness | Width | Finish |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Natural pine louvered | Louvred slats let air and light through | 21 mm | 68 or 78 cm | Unfinished, ready for finishing |
| White-lacquered louvered | Louvred slats let air and light through | 21 mm | 68 or 78 cm | White-lacquered, ready to fit |
| Rustic pine, 30 mm | Solid panels block the view and airflow | 30 mm | 68 or 78 cm | Unfinished, ready for finishing |
| Made to measure | Engraved pattern, choice of cut-outs | Depending on the wood species | Made to measure, 1 or 2 leaves | Depending on the wood species |
For standard models, choose the width according to the wall opening:
| Width of both leaves | Recommended wall opening |
|---|---|
| 68 cm (2 leaves of 34 cm) | 73 cm |
| 78 cm (2 leaves of 39 cm) | 83 cm |
Western-style doors can be fitted with double-action pivots, fixed to the floor and lintel, or double-action spring hinges, screwed to the side of the opening. Both allow the door to swing in either direction and return to the closed position.
Installation tips
Measurements: check the wall opening before ordering: 73 cm for the 68 cm leaves, 83 cm for the 78 cm leaves.
Finish: apply paint, varnish or wood stain before fitting.
Installation: if using pivots, fix the lower pivot to the floor, then the upper pivot to the lintel, ensuring they are vertically aligned. If using hinges, pre-drill and screw them 15 cm from the top and bottom of each leaf. Leave a few millimetres of clearance between the two leaves.
Care and protection
The pine comes unfinished. Apply a finish before fitting, paying particular attention to the slats: use paint, varnish or stain suitable for indoor wood. Dust the louvres with a soft brush two or three times a year.
Frequently asked questions
Which western-style door width should you choose?
Start with the wall opening. A 73 cm opening accommodates the 68 cm leaves; an 83 cm opening accommodates the 78 cm leaves. The 5 cm difference provides the clearance needed for the leaves to swing.
Are pivots included with the western-style door?
No, the door comes without hardware. Choose either double-action pivots, fitted to the floor and lintel, or double-action spring hinges, screwed to the side. A door-and-pivot kit is also available so you can order everything together.
Louvered or solid: which western-style door should you choose?
The louvered door lets air and light through: it works well between a kitchen and living room or in front of a utility room. The rustic solid-panel model completely blocks the view and airflow.
