For standard models, choose the width according to the wall opening:

Western-style doors can be fitted with double-action pivots, fixed to the floor and lintel, or double-action spring hinges, screwed to the side of the opening. Both allow the door to swing in either direction and return to the closed position.

Installation tips

Measurements: check the wall opening before ordering: 73 cm for the 68 cm leaves, 83 cm for the 78 cm leaves.

Installation: if using pivots, fix the lower pivot to the floor, then the upper pivot to the lintel, ensuring they are vertically aligned. If using hinges, pre-drill and screw them 15 cm from the top and bottom of each leaf. Protect the lacquer while handling the door.

Care and protection

Clean the lacquer with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or acidic sprays, which could dull the surface. Dust the louvres with a brush or microfibre cloth. Handle the leaves carefully during installation to avoid scratching the lacquer.

Frequently asked questions

Can a western-style door be fitted in a bathroom?

Yes, at the entrance to a well-ventilated bathroom, away from splashes. The louvres allow air to circulate, and the lacquer is easy to clean. Avoid placing it near a shower or bath, where the MDF could be exposed to water.

Does the white western-style door need painting?

No. It comes finished in satin white lacquer, ready to fit. If you want a different colour, choose the unfinished natural pine model instead; it is designed to be painted.

Are pivots included?

No, the door comes without hardware. Choose either double-action pivots, fitted to the floor and lintel, or double-action spring hinges, screwed to the side of the opening.
