The Quadrum starter kit is the starting section of an anodised aluminium horizontal square rail balustrade system. It covers a length of 120 cm for a finished height of 1 metre, compliant with landing balustrade standards. Available in two finishes — gloss black for a bold contemporary look, gloss stainless steel for a timeless aesthetic — it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use thanks to the corrosion resistance of anodised aluminium.
The kit includes pre-assembled posts, square-section aluminium handrail and five horizontal square rails — it is ready to install upon receipt. Floor fixing screws are not included as they depend on the substrate. To cover spans greater than 120 cm, pair this starter kit with one or more Quadrum extension kits, each adding 100 cm of additional span.

Installation tips
Planning: For a span of 220 cm, combine 1 starter kit (120cm) + 1 extension kit (100cm). For 320 cm: 1 starter kit + 2 extension kits. The final span can be adjusted by cutting on site. Allow for joining accessories (rail connectors and handrail connectors) between each module.
Floor fixing: Posts are fixed via the included base shoes. Choose the fixings according to your substrate: Ø6mm stainless steel screws for wooden floors, Ø8mm expansion anchors for concrete. Floor fixing screws are not supplied — plan for this purchase. Check the vertical alignment of each post with a spirit level before final tightening.
Connections between modules: Connect the square rails between modules with the Quadrum connectors and the handrail with the horizontal connectors Articulated handrail connector Quadrum 80x30mm. These accessories are not included in the starter kit — order them separately according to your configuration.
Maintenance and protection
Anodised aluminium is virtually maintenance-free. An annual clean with soapy water and a soft sponge is sufficient to maintain the glossy appearance. Avoid abrasive products that would scratch the anodising. In coastal areas, rinse with fresh water after episodes of sand or sea spray to preserve the finish's shine.

How do I calculate how many Quadrum extension kits to order?
Subtract the length of the starter kit (120cm) from your total span, then divide by 100cm (length of one extension kit). Example: for 320cm → (320 − 120) ÷ 100 = 2 extension kits. For 270cm → (270 − 120) ÷ 100 = 1.5 → order 2 extension kits and cut the last one to 50cm on site.
Is the Quadrum kit suitable for a staircase (raking balustrade)?

What is the difference between the Quadrum range and the Ellipsis range?
The Quadrum range has flat posts and square-section rails — a more angular, industrial look. The Ellipsis range has round posts and round Ø16mm-section rails — a softer, more organic look. Are the floor fixing screws supplied with the Quadrum kit?
No. The floor fixing screws are not included as they depend on the type of substrate. Allow for Ø6mm stainless steel screws minimum 50mm long for wooden floors, or Ø8mm expansion anchors for concrete. For tiles or a slab, use specialist tile anchors with a prior pilot hole drilled with a diamond bit.
