Installation tips

Start by anchoring the post in the ground or fixing it to the wall, depending on your layout. Fit the crosspieces horizontally to the post using the supplied pivots. Then fix the slats vertically to the crosspieces, starting at the ends. Pre-drill each slat before screwing to prevent the fir from splitting. Apply the water-repellent treatment to all faces and edges before installation. For multiple modules, repeat the process, carefully aligning the crosspieces from one module to the next.

Care and protection

Untreated fir deteriorates quickly in damp conditions without protection. Apply an exterior wood stain or saturator before first use. Reapply every 2 to 3 years, paying particular attention to the lower ends of the slats and where they meet the crosspieces. Check the tightness of the 22 screws and the condition of the post at its base annually.
