Key points

  • Complete kit: boards, rails, post and screws - no additional purchases required
  • Two heights: 60 cm (low fence) or 95 cm (standard boundary)
  • 180 cm length: practical module for calculating the required linear footage
  • Quick assembly: screw-fixed assembly with no specialist tools required
  • Raw wood: can be painted, stained or tinted to match your desired décor

Installation tips

Begin by anchoring the post in the ground or fixing it to the wall depending on your configuration. Position the rails horizontally on the post and assemble them using the supplied brackets. Then fix the boards vertically onto the rails, starting from the ends. Pre-drill each board before screwing to avoid splitting the fir. Apply the water-repellent treatment to all faces and edges before installation. For multiple modules, repeat the process, carefully aligning the rails from one module to the next.

Maintenance and protection

Untreated fir deteriorates quickly in humid conditions without protection. Apply an exterior wood stain or saturator before first use. Reapply every 2 to 3 years, paying particular attention to the lower ends of the boards and the contact areas with the rails. Check annually that all 22 screws are tight and inspect the post at its base.

Frequently asked questions

How many kits are needed for a 10-metre fence?

Each kit covers 180 cm. For 10 metres, you will therefore need 6 kits (6 x 1.80 m = 10.80 m). Adjust according to the exact length required — allow 1 extra kit in case adjustments are needed.

Is the post supplied sufficient to support a 180 cm section?

One post is included per kit for use as a standalone module. For a continuous fence spanning several modules, the kits connect together and share posts at the junctions — allow one post per kit plus one final post.

Which height to choose: 60 cm or 95 cm?

The 60 cm height defines a space (vegetable patch, flower bed) without blocking the view. The 95 cm height provides a more pronounced visual separation to mark off a garden area or contain small pets.

Are the screws supplied in the kit rust-resistant?

The screws supplied are galvanised, suitable for standard outdoor use. For long-term exposure in humid environments (coastal areas, high-rainfall zones), you can improve resistance by using A2 stainless steel screws to fix the posts. The galvanised screws cover the panel assembly — additional screws will be needed to fix the panel to existing posts.

Is this kit suitable for slightly sloped ground?

Yes. On sloped ground, offset each module slightly to follow the slope or adjust the post anchoring height. Step-by-step installation on a slope requires cutting the boards to different lengths to keep them horizontal.
