NUGERE staircase in fir or glued laminated beech – space-saving alternating tread staircase in kit form
The NUGERE staircase is a space-saving alternating tread staircase, supplied as a kit, with elements to be assembled on site. An alternating tread staircase is made up of alternating treads that allow the floor footprint to be reduced while maintaining sufficient tread depth for each foot. This design allows installation in confined spaces (mezzanine, loft) where a standard straight staircase could not be fitted. The NUGERE model is intended for a floor-to-floor height of 280 cm with 13 treads. The width without handrail is 65 cm and the total width with handrail is 68 cm. The recommended well opening is 73 cm wide, for a length of 155 cm in fir or 170 cm in beech (values given with handrail). Fixings are not supplied and must be suitable for the substrate (wood, concrete, etc.).

Frequently asked questions
How do I install the NUGERE staircase?
Check the floor-to-floor height (280 cm), the recommended well opening and the footprint, assemble according to the instructions, then fix to the floor and to the support with suitable fixings.
What is the lifespan of the NUGERE staircase?
The service life depends on traffic, anchoring, finish and maintenance. A suitable finish and regular maintenance limit wear in indoor use.
Is NUGERE compatible with a mezzanine or loft?
Yes, if the configuration meets the stated dimensions (height 280 cm, recommended well opening and footprint). Check the finished opening and safety provisions (handrail, balustrade) according to your project.
Which space-saving staircase should I choose for a reduced footprint?
An alternating tread model allows the footprint to be minimised. NUGERE is rated at 151 cm (fir) or 165 cm (beech) of footprint, depending on the variant.
Why choose NUGERE over a standard straight staircase?
An alternating tread staircase is used when the available floor footprint is limited. A standard straight staircase should be preferred if space allows and for more frequent use.
