Connector for Square Rails 16x16mm – Straight Junction Quadrum Range

This connector ensures a straight-line junction between two sections of square rails 16x16mm from the Quadrum range. It is used at each straight-line connection between modules — between a starter kit and an extension kit, or between two extension kits. Each junction requires 5 connectors (one per horizontal rail) and 1 Quadrum handrail connector to ensure complete continuity of the balustrade.

Available in gloss black and gloss stainless steel finishes, it maintains the visual consistency of the Quadrum assembly. For junctions with a change of direction, this straight connector must be replaced by articulated rail connectors Articulated connector for 16x16mm Quadrum rails. It is exclusively compatible with the 16x16mm square rails from the Quadrum range — not interchangeable with the Ø16mm round rails from the Ellipsis range.

Installation tips

Order 5 connectors per straight junction between modules. Cut rail ends perpendicularly with a hacksaw and deburr the edges before insertion. First insert all rails into their connectors without tightening, check horizontal alignment along the entire length of the installation, then tighten progressively. For a perfectly invisible junction, position the connectors at a post — the assembly will be enclosed by the rail support.

Maintenance and protection

Clean with soapy water annually. Check connector tightness once a year — thermal expansion outdoors may slightly loosen screwed assemblies. Rinse with fresh water in marine environments.

Technically yes — two rail sections can be joined end to end with this connector, even outside of a junction between modules. For a stable result, position the connector at a post support rather than mid-span. A rail joined mid-span without support may flex slightly under lateral load.
