OUMENET Metal Balustrade with Beech Handrail - For CEYSSAT Interior Staircase
The OUMENET balustrade combines a metal structure with a natural solid beech handrail, designed to fit the CEYSSAT staircase. This bi-material metal-wood pairing offers a warm contemporary look, where the precision of the metal structure is softened by the natural wood of the handrail. The finished height is 1 metre, compliant with regulations for interior landing balustrades.
The beech handrail is supplied raw and untreated - apply a protective finish (varnish, oil-wax or lacquer) before use to protect the wood from hand contact and ambient humidity. This balustrade is intended for indoor use only. Floor fixing screws are not included as they depend on the type of support.

Installation advice
Before installation, apply a protective finish to the beech handrail: varnish (2 coats) for maximum durability, or oil-wax for a natural appearance. The handrail is the most handled component - untreated wood marks quickly. Adapt the floor fixing screws to your support (not included). Follow the supplied instructions carefully for connection to the CEYSSAT staircase.
Maintenance and protection
Beech handrail: clean with soapy water, reapply a coat of varnish every 5 to 7 years. Metal structure: dust and occasionally clean with a damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture - this product is designed for dry indoor use.
WoodUp tip
Good to know before buying: this balustrade is designed for the CEYSSAT staircase — check the exact reference of your model before ordering. The raw beech handrail must be treated before installation: oil, varnish or lacquer depending on the desired finish. Floor fixing screws are not included. For beech, a staircase varnish offers the best resistance to hand wear. Apply 2 coats, allowing 24 hours to dry between each.
Frequently asked questions
Is this OUMENET balustrade compatible with staircases other than the CEYSSAT?
No. The OUMENET is dimensioned for the fixing points and template of the CEYSSAT staircase. For other brands, see the LUSETTE (Chemintrand/Chery, LUSETTE balustrade), the ESPINAS (Baruchet/Chansert/Pelle, ESPINAS balustrade), the TRIBALE (exterior spiral staircase, TRIBALE balustrade) or the ARLBERG Arlberg 100cm balustrade. Contact WoodUp with the exact brand and model of your staircase if none of these models match.
Can a different timber species be chosen for the handrail instead of beech?
This model comes with a beech handrail as standard. The availability of other timber species depends on the options offered by WoodUp - contact customer service to check whether an oak or fir variant is available for this model.
What finish do you recommend for the beech handrail on a heavily used staircase?
For a family staircase with heavy daily use, a staircase varnish in 2-3 coats is the most durable solution. It forms a protective film resistant to scratches and impacts. Reapply a light coat every 5 to 7 years. Oil-wax gives a more natural result but requires renewal every 1 to 2 years.
Does the OUMENET balustrade include a fixing bracket for the staircase stringer?
This balustrade is designed for floor fixing via a standard base plate. For fixing to the lateral stringer of the CEYSSAT staircase, stringer-specific plates may be required - check the available accessories with WoodUp. The fitting instructions detail the fixing configurations compatible with this staircase.
Can this OUMENET balustrade be used as a rake balustrade along the steps?
This model is designed as a landing balustrade (horizontal) for the landing opening of the CEYSSAT staircase. For a rake balustrade following the incline of the steps, a different configuration is required. Contact WoodUp with the exact dimensions of your staircase to determine whether a raking variant is available.
Is this balustrade delivered assembled or as a self-assembly kit?
The OUMENET balustrade is supplied as a self-assembly kit with instructions. Assembly requires no specialist skills - a drill, a spirit level and a screwdriver are sufficient. Allow approximately one hour for full installation depending on the configuration of your CEYSSAT staircase.
