French regulations (article R111-15 of the Building Code) require a minimum height of 90 cm for a staircase balustrade (rake balustrade) and 1 metre for a landing balustrade. This LUSETTE balustrade at 1 metre is compliant for landing use. For use as a rake balustrade along the staircase, the 1m height is also compliant (above the 90cm minimum).
