Solid Folding Cupboard Door in Unfinished Solid Pine, 21 mm – Completely Opaque
The folding cupboard door with a 21 mm unfinished solid pine panel completely conceals the contents of the cupboard. Available in 61 cm or 71 cm widths (2 door leaves), with a height of 205 cm – the solid panel lets neither light nor prying eyes through.
Supplied with pre-fitted hinges, a top track, top and bottom pivots and knobs. The unfinished pine can be customised with paint, varnish or wood stain. As solid pine is a natural material, the colour and grain vary slightly between door leaves: this is part of the character of solid wood, not a defect. This model cannot be trimmed – an opening height of 209.5 cm is essential.

Installation advice
Allow an opening height of 209.5 cm (205 cm door + space for the track). Leave 4 mm clearance across the width to adjust the door leaves. Fit the top track first, followed by the top and bottom pivots. Then hang the pre-assembled door leaves on the pivots. Check that they are aligned and fold smoothly. If you plan to paint the unfinished pine, apply the finish before installation: it is easier to treat the door leaves while they are lying flat. Care and protection
To preserve the look of the unfinished pine, apply a matt or satin varnish or a wood stain, depending on the effect you want. Untreated, the wood remains functional but may yellow slightly in the light. For routine care of painted or varnished wood, a slightly damp cloth (with clean water) is enough. Avoid abrasive products. As solid pine is a natural material, its colour varies between door leaves: an opaque paint gives a completely uniform appearance, while a wood stain or clear varnish allows the natural variation to show through. The pivots can be lightly lubricated with wax once a year to keep the door opening smoothly.

Why choose a solid door rather than a louvred door?
The solid door completely conceals the contents, making it ideal for storage you want to hide from view. The louvred door is better suited to spaces requiring natural ventilation, such as dressing rooms or utility rooms.
Can these doors be painted white?
Yes. Unfinished pine takes paint well after light sanding with 120-grit sandpaper and the application of a wood primer. For an even result, two coats of paint are recommended, allowing each coat to dry completely.
Is this door suitable for a child’s bedroom?
Yes, its solid panel makes it suitable for a child’s bedroom. The unfinished surface can be painted in your chosen colour. Check that the pivots and closing mechanism are correctly adjusted to prevent fingers from becoming trapped.
Does a 61 cm door fit a 61 cm opening?
No. The door width is the space occupied by the door leaves. Allow the door width plus 4 mm for the actual opening. For a 61 cm door, the opening must therefore measure at least approximately 61.4 cm.
Why does the wood colour vary between door leaves?
Solid pine is a natural material whose colour and grain vary according to how each board is cut and how the tree grew. These differences in shade between door leaves are inherent to solid wood and are not a manufacturing defect. An opaque paint gives a completely uniform appearance.
How does it differ from the trimmable Natural Pine Trimmable Door?
