This kit contains 2 natural pine louvred door leaves and an included double-action pivot kit. It provides everything you need to install saloon doors without any additional purchases. The leaves are made from unfinished solid pine, 21 mm thick, with an arched top measuring 104 cm at the centre and 99 cm at the sides. Two widths are available: 68 cm (2 × 34 cm) or 78 cm (2 × 39 cm).

The recommended wall opening is 73 cm for the 68 cm door leaves and 83 cm for the 78 cm leaves. The natural pine is unfinished and can be customised. This kit is ready to install: pivots, fixings and door leaves are supplied. For indoor use only.

Installation advice

Check the wall opening before installation: at least 73 cm for the 68 cm door leaves and 83 cm for the 78 cm leaves. Pre-drill the floor and install the lower pivot, then fit the upper pivot to the lintel, ensuring they are perfectly aligned vertically. Fit the leaves onto the pivots and check that they move freely in both directions. Apply a finish (varnish or wood stain) to the unfinished pine before final installation to protect the wood. Refer to the assembly instructions supplied in the kit for the precise drilling templates.

Care and protection

The unfinished pine can be left natural or treated with a clear wood stain, oil or paint. Without treatment, the wood will change slightly when exposed to light. Dust the louvres two or three times a year with a soft brush. Lubricate the pivots annually with a few drops of light oil to keep them moving smoothly.

The pine saloon door + pivots kit includes double-action pivots as well as the door leaves. The natural pine saloon door is sold without pivots. If you do not already have pivots, the pine saloon door + pivots kit is more economical and convenient.

Do I need any special tools for installation?

No. A drill, spirit level, screwdriver and the screws supplied in the kit are all you need. A drilling template is included to position the lower pivot precisely on the floor.

Can these door leaves be painted after installation?

Yes. It is best to apply the finish before installation, with the door leaves laid flat. This makes the louvres easier to reach. Lightly sanding with 120-grit sandpaper before painting improves adhesion.

Is this kit suitable for separating a kitchen from a living room?

Yes, this is a typical use. The louvres provide partial visual separation while allowing air and light through. In a kitchen, clean the louvres regularly to prevent grease build-up.

Can these pivots be used with other doors in the range?
