This connector makes a straight joint between two sections of Ellipsis handrail with a 100x30mm section and rounded profile. Use it at every connection between modules – between a starter kit and an extension kit, or between two extension kits – to create a continuous handrail without a visible break. Available in gloss black and polished stainless steel finishes, it keeps the installation looking consistent.

Sold individually, this connector should be ordered with the extension kits. Each straight joint between two modules requires 1 handrail connector and 5 rail connectors Ellipsis Ø16mm rail connector. For joints where the direction changes, use the Ellipsis adjustable handrail joint instead of this straight connector.

Installation tips

Insert the ends of both handrail sections into the connector and tighten as instructed. Order this connector with your extension kits to avoid delays: each straight joint between modules requires 1 handrail connector and 5 rail connectors. For the best result, cut the handrail ends square before inserting them into the connector.

Care and protection

Anodised aluminium needs no surface treatment or protective product. Anodising creates an oxide layer integral to the metal, rather than a surface coating: it will not flake or peel over time.

An occasional clean with fresh water and a soft cloth is enough to maintain the connectors’ appearance. Avoid abrasive products, metal scourers and strong solvents, which could scratch the anodised finish. Outdoors, where exposed to sea spray or pollution, rinsing with fresh water once or twice a year maintains the finish with little effort.

The gloss black and polished stainless steel finishes show fingerprints differently: they are more noticeable on the black finish. A slightly damp microfibre cloth removes them without damaging the anodised finish.
