Ellipsis Aluminium Extension Kit - 100cm Extension for Round Rail Balustrade

The Ellipsis extension kit allows you to extend an existing Ellipsis balustrade by 100 cm per module. It connects to the Ellipsis aluminium starter kit or to another extension kit to cover spans of 220 cm, 320 cm or more. It includes 1 pre-assembled round post, a 100x30mm handrail and 5 round Ø16mm rails 100 cm long — the exact dimensions to align perfectly with the starter kit.

Available in gloss black and gloss stainless steel, it maintains the visual consistency of the entire Ellipsis installation. The junction accessories between modules (rail connectors Ellipsis Ø16mm rail connector, handrail connector Ellipsis handrail connector) and the floor fixing hardware are not included — to be ordered separately according to your configuration.

Installation tips

Connection: Position the extension kit in line with the starter kit. Insert the Ø16mm rails into the connectors on the starter kit side, then into the supports on the extension post. Connect the handrail via the Ellipsis handrail connector. If your configuration includes an angle between two sections, use the articulated rail joint and the articulated handrail joint.

Fixing: Secure the post to the floor via its shoe bracket using fixings suitable for your substrate. Align the post with those of the starter kit using a horizontal spirit level before tightening. Once the rails are in place, check that all 5 rails are perfectly horizontal along the entire length of the installation.

Cutting: If your span is not a multiple of 100cm, cut the rails and handrail with a hacksaw or circular saw fitted with an aluminium blade. Deburr the cut edges before inserting into the connectors.

Maintenance and protection

Same maintenance as the starter kit: soapy water annually, rinse with fresh water in coastal environments. Check the tightness of the rail and handrail connectors once a year — thermal variations outdoors can gradually loosen assemblies over time.

What to know before buying: this extension kit is only compatible with the ELLIPSIS range and requires an ELLIPSIS starter kit (ID 721) as a base. Each module adds 100cm. For a 3.2m balustrade: 1 starter kit (120cm) + 2 extension kits (2x100cm) = 320cm. Round rail connectors (ID 782) and articulated joints (ID 781) must be ordered separately for junctions between modules and direction changes.
