Installation advice

Measure the clear opening between uprights in both height and width. Allow a gap of 2 to 3 mm on each side. As this panel cannot be cut down, the dimensions must match your opening exactly with no trimming possible. Apply the finish before fitting on all faces and edges. For a sliding installation, check that the chosen rail system is compatible with a panel thickness of 28 mm – the Woodup aluminium kit Aluminium sliding system accepts thicknesses ≥ 16 mm. For a hinged installation, choose hinges suited to 28 mm and to the weight of the panel.

Maintenance and protection

Raw pine at 28 mm is more resistant to warping than the 21 mm version thanks to its greater mass. Like all natural solid wood, its shade and grain vary slightly from board to board. Without treatment, it remains stable in dry interior conditions. To limit colour change over time, apply a clear wood stain or a matt varnish. Dust the louvred slats two to three times a year with a soft brush. On a treated panel, clean with mild soapy water (neutral pH).
