Installation advice

Measure the opening carefully before selecting a size. As this door panel cannot be cut to size, a measuring error means you will need to order another one. Allow 2 to 3 mm of clearance on each side so it can move without rubbing. For a sliding installation, pair this panel with the Woodup Aluminium sliding system, which accommodates 21 mm thicknesses. For a hinged installation, choose hinges suitable for a 21 mm thickness. In both cases, fittings must be purchased separately. Apply your chosen finish before installation to all faces and edges, particularly the lattice areas that will be difficult to reach once fitted.

Care and protection

The unfinished wood can be painted, waxed or varnished. For routine care, wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Dust can collect in the lattice: use a soft brush or compressed air two to three times a year to clean between the crosspieces. If left untreated, natural wood changes colour slightly with exposure to light. Aside from this change over time, each door panel has its own colour and grain from the moment it arrives – a natural characteristic of solid wood that varies from piece to piece.
